Agta Aid idea started with a newspaper article that Philip's aunt, Teca, gave him about Ryan (Ryans Well Foundation), and how an eight years old child could make such difference. He was just returning from a school holiday with his parents from the Philippines, where they went to study tribe of hunter-gatherers.

That tribe was called the "Agta".

During the time Philip spent playing with the Agta children, he saw that they would love to go to school, but they didn't have school material. He talked about that problem with many friends and family, and they encouraged him to do a fundraising campaign... So Agta Aid started...
